Orlando B. Polintan Family
Orlando Bungay Polintan
His generosity, kindness and love for others are the legacies he left behind.
Orlando or Lando was born in Macabebe, Pampanga. His parents were Gregorio Polintan and Toribia Polintan. His father was a farmer and his mom was homemaker.
From elementary to high school, he graduated as the top student in his class. He took up law at MLQU in Manila and stayed with his eldest brother, Asislao and his family, in Lepanto Manila. Despite being a working student and only purchasing three law books during his time in college—the majority of which he simply borrowed—Lando was proud to have passed the bar exam after only taking it once.
Happily married to Melita Tan Cordero
He was a great father to his children
Despite his busy schedule, he took the time to patiently tutor all his children all throughout their grade school. Antonio Ormel and Omar excelled well in school. Antonio Ormel took up medicine at UST, while Omar took up computer science in La Salle. Lourdes migrated to Canada and was an Admin Assistant for a charitable foundation in Alberta, Canada until her retirement in 2021. He had one grandson, Carlos Gregor Calalec (married to Mecilla Tordilla) and a great-grandson, Carlos Lorenzo.

Antonio Ormel C. Polintan
Ormel is Orlando and Melita’s first born
Even at a young age, he already knew what he wanted to be – and that is to be a doctor. He wanted to take care of his parent so that they would live a long, long life. Ormel went to Dominican School in grade school and later to University of Santo Tomas where he finished his High School. It was in the same school where he took up Medical Technology and Medicine. His classmates remembered him for being a selfless person who would willingly share what he knows. He maintained close friendship with classmate from grade school up to his medicine years.
Dedicated to his family and friends, this man prioritizes them above all else.
Ormel was always protective to his family. He would always check up on them making sure they are safe and healthy. After graduating Medicine, he went to New York to start his internship but after learning that his mom was having some health issues, he went back home to look after her and their family business. Ormel is remembered for sacrificing his personal life and devoted his time and energy looking after his family.
True to his words, Ormel took good care of his parents. He watched what they eat and made sure that they take the right medication. His siblings credited him for prolonging their father’s life by devoting his time researching on the best approach to his health. His mom is still alive and healthy because Ormel took good care of her.
Ormel was a doting uncle to his nephew, Carlos Gregor whom he treated like his own son. He was also very close to his nephews and nieces (from cousins). He was extremely close to his cousins and relatives and would always be there for them.
He tried to live always prepared to meet God
Just like his father, Ormel never charged a single centavo to patients for consultation and treatment. He was blessed to have good investment acumen but still lived a simple life. Ormel was a long time supporter and contributor of various charitable institutions, such as World Vision, Unicef, Caritas, among others. He also sponsored a student’s education school in Mindanao. He was recipient of certificate of recognition from Caritas. Ormel’s belief is charity is the highest form of love.
We know he is watching over us from heaven, waiting for the day when we can all be together again.
